ENCOUNTER II: Elastic Presence approaches presence not as something fixed, but as something that emerges through relation. It unfolds between bodies, objects, and the situations they create together.
At the centre of the exhibition stands a table. Not as a display, but as a structure for gathering, exchange, and attention. It becomes a place where objects circulate, bodies meet, and gestures of gathering, drinking, touching, and exchange come into focus.
The table is set, or perhaps a meal has already taken place. Both moments describe forms of togetherness and informal exchange. Traces of use remain visible through glasses, surfaces, and gestures that suggest presence through absence. The partially displaced tablecloth keeps this condition open, suspended between preparation and memory, use and continuation.
Around it, objects extend these relations into the space. Vessels, flowers, and a wine structure introduce systems of care, circulation, and support. Rather than stabilising the scene, they allow it to remain in motion, shaped by interaction and participation.
The works remain close to the body and to everyday experience. Jewellery, garments constructed from repurposed nylon stockings, and glass objects are not presented as isolated pieces, but as elements activated through touch, use, and presence. What emerges is not a fixed narrative, but a shared situation shaped through attention and exchange.
Rather than separating practices, the exhibition brings together positions from different disciplines and stages of practice. This proximity shifts focus away from hierarchy and towards relation, allowing objects and bodies to exist within the same spatial conversation.
With the Humain Products Platform, Elastic Presence extends beyond the exhibition space into a digital environment where objects remain accessible, visible, and in circulation. Design is understood not as something limited to the gallery, but as part of everyday life and ongoing interaction.
